There are many large and small-scale events held in Wales every year but current event recycling is limited. It is hoped that this project will expand to make recycling at all events the norm!
If you have any questions or comments about the Wales Event Recycling Project please feel free to contact Ruth Llewellyn, the Events Reycling Officer.

://Events Recycling Guide
Our new Events Recycling Guideaims to help events organisers establish recycling as a pre-requisite to waste management at their event; no matter what type of event it may be.
Public events often create a huge amount of waste. Whether it’s a sports game, music festival or street parade, wherever large numbers of the public are drawn, waste is left in their wake - materials that can be a valuable resource when recycled.
Encouraging recycling activity at events not only preserves natural resources and saves on landfill charges but also can improve the publics perception of the event. Recycling in the right way should promote a positive environmental image and present event organisers as responsible and respectful venue users.
The Guide suggests simple and cost effective ways that events organisers can implement recycling. It presents a framework for planning and implementing effective waste management and recycling programs at events and features case studies of events that have successfully embraced recycling.
