In 1966 the almshouses were rebuilt at Felbridge, near East Grinstead, West Sussex, and they now provide 60 homes for elderly ladies and some married couples, with a warden. From 1822 the Company also began to pay allowances to elderly people on a low income, known as ‘Whittington Out-pensions’, from the Estate, and over 300 of these are now paid annually.
