ADAPT TRUST

The ADAPT Trust (Access for Disabled people to Arts Premises Today) was established in 1989 as a result of the findings of the Attenborough report on ‘Arts and Disabled People’.

It was registered as an independent charity – SC020814 – in 1992.

Today the Trust operates throughout the UK and its goal is to improve access by advising and assisting arts and heritage venues to create effective access for everyone. It does this through grant aid, awards for excellence, awareness training and a consultancy service.

AGE CONCERN

Age Concern supports all people over 50 in the UK, ensuring that they get the most from life.  We provide essential services such as day care and information. We campaign on issues like age discrimination and pensions, and work to influence public opinion and government policy about older people.

AID TO THE CHURCH IN NEED (UK)

Aid to the Church in Need" is an international pastoral aid organization of the Catholic Church, which yearly offers financial support to more than 8000 projects worldwide. We try to help Catholics in need wherever they are repressed or persecuted and therefore prevented from living according to their faith.
Following a 1984 decree of the Vatican Congregation for the Clergy, "Aid to the Church in Need" was recognized by the Catholic Church as a "universal public association of faithful". .

ARCHITECTURAL HERITAGE FUND.

The Architectural Heritage Fund is a registered charity founded in 1976 to promote the conservation of historic buildings in the UK. It does this by providing advice, information and financial assistance in the form of grants and low interest loans for projects undertaken by building preservation trusts (BPTs) and other charities throughout the UK.

ACF receives no government funds. It is entirely dependent on its members, who pay a subscription according to size; for most, this is no more than one thousandth of their grant-giving in the previous year.  Over 300 independent trusts and foundations, large and small, have joined - with total grant-giving of more than £1 billion per year.
